The ConMet 10082209 is a heavy-duty aluminum PreSet front steer hub assembly designed for FF front axle wheel ends using drum brakes. It is commonly used on Kenworth and Peterbilt configurations, along with certain Navistar and Mack vehicles, depending on the axle and wheel-end setup.
The lightweight aluminum hub uses a 10-stud hub-piloted HP10 mounting system and includes a stamped ABS tone ring. It is designed for aluminum wheels and carries a 7,350 lb hub rating, corresponding to a 14,700 lb GAWR steer axle configuration.
The 10082209 incorporates ConMet’s PreSet wheel-end technology. A precision-machined spacer controls the spacing between the tapered roller bearings, providing a consistent bearing setting without conventional manual bearing adjustment.
