The 374980 Hydrovac is a Third Series single-piston vacuum/hydraulic brake booster designed for commercial truck, bus, tractor and trailer braking systems. The Hydrovac uses engine vacuum to assist the hydraulic brake system, increasing braking force while reducing the amount of pedal effort required by the driver.
The 374980 features a 9-1/2-inch diameter housing and measures approximately 17-5/16 inches overall. It uses 1/2"-20 threaded hydraulic input and output ports, a 3/4-inch air cleaner connection, and a 1/2-inch NPT vacuum supply connection. The configuration uses End Cap B.
