The Bendix K070951 ATR-6 Automatic Traction Relay Valve is a heavy-duty electro-pneumatic braking component designed for commercial vehicles equipped with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and automatic traction control (ATC). Combining conventional relay valve operation with electronically controlled traction functionality, this valve helps improve braking response, vehicle stability, and traction under demanding road conditions.
During normal braking, the ATR-6 operates as a pneumatic relay valve, delivering compressed air to the brake chambers in response to the driver's brake application. When the traction control system detects excessive drive wheel spin, the integrated solenoid allows the electronic control system to apply braking pressure independently, helping transfer available driving torque to wheels with better traction.
The K070951 features a 5.5 PSI crack pressure, 12-volt electrical operation, and four active delivery ports. Its rugged construction and integrated electronic controls make it suitable for compatible heavy-duty trucks and tractors operating in challenging commercial environments.
