Product Description
The Bendix 801993 BR9235 ABS Modulator/Relay Valve is a heavy-duty pneumatic and electronic braking component designed for commercial trailer anti-lock braking systems. Combining conventional relay valve operation with electronically controlled ABS modulation, this valve helps deliver responsive braking performance while reducing the risk of wheel lockup during sudden stops or slippery road conditions.
During normal service braking, the BR9235 operates as a relay valve, delivering compressed air from the supply reservoir to the brake chambers in response to the service brake control signal. When ABS intervention is required, the integrated solenoid responds to commands from the ABS electronic control unit (ECU), adjusting brake chamber pressure to help maintain wheel rotation and vehicle stability.
The 801993 features a 12-volt electrical system, 3 PSI crack pressure, and four delivery ports for compatible trailer braking configurations. Its durable construction and integrated exhaust mechanism are designed for demanding commercial vehicle service.
