The tone ring rotates with the wheel hub and passes by the ABS wheel-speed sensor, creating the signal the anti-lock braking system uses to determine wheel speed. Proper tone-ring condition and positioning are important for accurate ABS operation.
ConMet identifies 103706 as a stamped FF-front ABS tone ring. The ring is a press-on design with an inside diameter of approximately 5.469 inches, an outside diameter of 6.870 inches, and a thickness of about 0.385 inch.
