The Bendix 109991 AD-SP Air Dryer is a system-purge air dryer designed to remove moisture, oil vapor, and other contaminants from compressed air before they enter the reservoirs and components of a heavy-duty vehicle air brake system.
The AD-SP uses a desiccant cartridge to help supply clean, dry air throughout the braking system, reducing moisture accumulation, corrosion, and the potential for air-line freeze-up in cold weather. Its system-purge design uses stored system air during the purge cycle to regenerate the desiccant and expel accumulated moisture and contaminants.
This configuration operates on 12 volts and features a 90-watt heater and thermostat for dependable cold-weather operation. It uses 1/2-inch supply and delivery ports along with a 1/4-inch control port. The AD-SP also incorporates a turbo cut-off function and standard replaceable desiccant cartridge.
