The Bendix 5000985X AD-IP Air Dryer is a remanufactured heavy-duty air system component designed to remove moisture, oil aerosols and contaminants from compressed air before they enter a commercial vehicle's air brake system. By supplying clean, dry compressed air, this air dryer helps protect brake valves, reservoirs and other pneumatic components from corrosion, freezing and premature wear.
The AD-IP integral purge design uses a replaceable desiccant cartridge to capture moisture during the compressor charging cycle. When the air compressor reaches its governed cut-out pressure, the dryer automatically purges accumulated moisture and contaminants, helping maintain dependable air system performance.
This configuration features a 12-volt, 90-watt heater and thermostat assembly to help prevent moisture-related freezing during cold-weather operation. The Bendix 5000985X also includes a plugged 1/8-inch ECON port, making it suitable for air systems requiring this specific configuration.
