The Bendix K092871 AD-9si Air Dryer is a complete, heavy-duty compressed air treatment assembly designed to remove moisture and contaminants from commercial vehicle air brake systems. By supplying clean, dry compressed air, this air dryer helps protect air reservoirs, valves, brake chambers, and other pneumatic components from moisture-related corrosion, freezing, and premature wear.
Featuring an integrated air compressor governor, a replaceable spin-on desiccant cartridge, and a thermostatically controlled 12-volt heater, the AD-9si combines dependable air system protection with convenient serviceability. Its compact, stand-alone design makes it suitable for compatible heavy-duty trucks, tractors, and other commercial vehicles.
During operation, compressed air passes through the dryer’s desiccant cartridge to remove water vapor. When the compressor reaches its cut-out pressure, the purge valve releases accumulated moisture and contaminants while regenerating the desiccant material for continued operation.
