The C479BX is a remanufactured Midland-style Ultravac vacuum/hydraulic brake booster designed for heavy-duty trailer braking systems.
This single-diaphragm booster uses engine vacuum to assist hydraulic braking pressure. BEPCO lists the C479BX with an 11.5-inch vacuum cylinder, reservoir-style hydraulic inlet, 1/4-inch inverted flare outlet, 3/8-inch pipe vacuum connection, and approximately 16-inch overall length.
The closely related Midland C479B specification is rated at approximately 2.48 cu. in. hydraulic displacement and 1,060 PSI output at 20 in. Hg vacuum. Haldex lists its reman equivalent RV47902X at 24 lb.
