The Bendix K073055 SMS-9700 Normally Closed Solenoid Manifold Valve is a heavy-duty electrically controlled pneumatic component designed for commercial vehicle compressed air systems. This valve provides precise control of airflow to compatible pneumatic accessories and equipment, supporting dependable operation in demanding trucking environments.
Featuring a normally closed design, the K073055 prevents compressed air from passing through the valve when electrical power is not applied. When energized, the solenoid opens to permit airflow through the manifold circuit. The K073055 is supplied without a separate supply fitting. Its normally closed configuration makes it suitable for applications requiring airflow to remain blocked until the electrical control circuit activates the solenoid.
Before ordering, verify the existing part number, electrical connector, operating voltage, manifold configuration, and pneumatic connections. Normally closed and normally open SMS-9700 solenoid assemblies are not directly interchangeable.
During installation, the exhaust must face downward or horizontally. Do not cover or paint the exhaust opening, as this may interfere with proper valve operation.
