The Lucas 201179R Left-Hand Parking Brake Cylinder is a hydraulic parking brake expander designed for Lucas/Girling drum brake systems used on medium-duty trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles.
This left-hand cylinder features a 1.750-inch bore and a 7/16-24 hydraulic inlet port. It works as part of the parking brake system to expand and apply the brake shoes when the parking brake is engaged.
The 201179R is the left-hand counterpart to 201180R. Haldex notes that older 1.625-inch cylinders were superseded by the 1.750-inch version and recommends replacing matching cylinders in pairs so the same bore size is used on both sides of the axle.
