The Bendix 109685R Remanufactured AD-9 Air Dryer is designed for heavy-duty trucks, tractors, buses, and other commercial vehicles equipped with compressed-air brake systems.
The AD-9 removes moisture, oil vapor, and other contaminants from compressed air before they can reach the vehicle’s reservoirs, valves, and brake components. By helping maintain a clean and dry air supply, the dryer reduces internal corrosion, moisture accumulation, and the potential for air-system freeze-up during cold-weather operation.
This configuration operates on 12 volts and uses a 75-watt heater to support reliable cold-weather operation. It features standard purge volume, 1/2-inch supply and delivery ports, and a 1/4-inch control port. The 109685 family corresponds to the Bendix AD-9 hard-seat purge valve configuration.
This particular assembly includes the mounting bracket and wiring/power harness, making it a more complete replacement package and reducing the need to reuse those components from the existing installation.
