The Bendix 5003547 Purge Valve Maintenance Kit is designed for servicing the purge valve on compatible Bendix AD-IP air dryers used in heavy-duty commercial vehicle air brake systems.
During the air dryer's purge cycle, the purge valve opens to discharge accumulated moisture, oil, and contaminants from the dryer. Worn purge-valve seals or components can contribute to air leakage, poor purging, or reduced air-dryer performance. The 5003547 kit provides the internal service components needed to rebuild the purge valve while reusing the existing purge-valve housing. Bendix specifically distinguishes this maintenance kit from a complete purge-valve assembly kit.
Haldex catalogs its 5003547K replacement kit for Bendix AD-IP air dryers 109477X and 5000709X. The purge-piston retainer shoulder bolt is not included and the existing bolt must be reused during rebuilding.
