The Bendix 2512061 Hydrovac Brake Booster is a Fourth Series single-diaphragm vacuum/hydraulic brake booster designed for older medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles equipped with vacuum-assisted hydraulic brakes.
The Hydrovac uses engine vacuum to increase hydraulic braking force, reducing driver pedal effort while providing the additional brake assist required by larger commercial vehicles. This configuration features a 12-3/4-inch diameter diaphragm housing and an overall length of approximately 18-5/8 inches.
The 2512061 uses a 1/2-inch grommet-style hydraulic input, 1/2"-20 copper-gasket output, 3/4-inch air-cleaner connection, and 1/2-inch NPT vacuum supply port. It uses End Cap J and is supplied without an integral mounting bracket.
This booster is commonly associated with International/IHC commercial truck configurations, including Cargostar 1850B applications.
