The Bendix 801481 M-32QR ABS Modulator Valve is an electro-pneumatic pressure control valve designed for heavy-duty truck anti-lock braking systems.
During an ABS event, the valve responds to commands from the vehicle’s ABS electronic control unit to apply, hold, or release air pressure at the brake chamber. This rapid modulation helps prevent wheel lockup and maintain vehicle steering and braking control during hard or slippery-road braking conditions.
The M-32QR incorporates an internal quick-release function, allowing brake pressure to exhaust rapidly when commanded by the ABS system. Bendix specifies the 801481 as a 12-volt M-32QR modulator with a Packard electrical connector and 1/2-inch NPT supply and delivery ports. The valve was used extensively in International truck ABS systems.
