The Bendix 109365X Remanufactured AR-1 Antilock Relay Valve is designed for heavy-duty commercial vehicle air brake systems equipped with Bendix anti-lock braking components.
The AR-1 is a specialized service-brake relay valve based on the Bendix R-14 design. It serves as a relay station near the brake actuators, allowing air pressure to be applied and released quickly for responsive service-brake operation. Although designed for ABS-equipped vehicles, the AR-1 itself contains no electronic ABS controls; it provides the pneumatic relay function and mounting provisions used with compatible Bendix antilock controllers.
The 109365 configuration uses a 4 PSI crack pressure, a 1/2-inch supply connection, and horizontal delivery ports. Bendix lists 800179 as the service replacement for original 109365, and the later K065765 R-14 relay valve kit replaces the obsolete 800179.
