Product Description
The RC-01 Residual Brake Pressure Check Valve is an inline hydraulic valve designed for compatible Lucas Girling hydraulic brake systems commonly found on medium-duty trucks and commercial buses.
The valve maintains approximately 3–10 PSI of residual hydraulic pressure in the rear brake circuit. This small amount of pressure helps keep the seals in the adjusting and parking brake cylinders properly seated, which can help reduce minor brake-fluid seepage and extend component life.
The RC-01 installs in the rear brake line, typically replacing the existing brake-line union behind the cab. The directional arrow on the valve must point toward the rear wheels, following the direction of brake-fluid flow. The rear brakes should be properly bled after installation.
