The 101H Hydraulic MaxiBrake Parking Brake Assembly is a spring-applied, hydraulically released parking brake chamber designed for medium-duty commercial vehicles equipped with Lucas/Girling-style hydraulic brake systems.
The 101H uses a powerful internal spring to apply the parking brake when hydraulic release pressure is removed. When hydraulic pressure is supplied, the chamber compresses the spring and releases the parking brake. This fail-safe design allows the parking brake to remain mechanically applied when hydraulic pressure is unavailable.
The 101H was used in Ford medium-duty truck brake systems, including various B600, B700, and B800 configurations. Precision Rebuilders identifies it specifically as the hydraulically released MaxiBrake H parking brake chamber.
Current Haldex MaxiBrake H-Series hydraulic spring-set brakes use rugged all-steel housings, corrosion-resistant spring components, internal hydraulic release mechanisms, and approximately 2 inches of available stroke. Haldex rates the hydraulic H-Series design for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
